Veritas Media Congratulates General TY Danjuma  

The board and management of Veritas Media Limited, publisher of The Politico, the first national magazine on politics, and owner of Veritas 93.5 FM Radio and Veritas TV, congratulate General TY Danjuma (Rtd) for an award by a leading foundation. 

General Danjuma, on Saturday in Lagos, received the HLF Life-Time Achievement Award for Exemplary Philanthropy and Charity at the 2025 Hallmarks of Labour Awards.  

The HLF recognizes and celebrates individuals who demonstrate outstanding leadership, professionalism, and impactful contributions in various fields, including education, medicine, law, and more.  

It also seeks to inspire younger generations to aspire to excellence.  

General Danjuma was recognized for his philanthropy through the TY Danjuma Foundation, which works on poverty alleviation, healthcare provision, and educational support for disadvantaged communities in Nigeria. 

The Foundation has, since its inception in 2010, disbursed US$41.5 million in grants supporting 340 impactful projects across the 36 states of the federation and the FCT.  

General Danjuma also donated $10 million to the Victims Support Fund, demonstrating his commitment to national healing and humanitarian service.  

The Hallmark’s Board of Trustees comprise Christopher Kolade (Chairman), a renowned diplomat and former Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom; Oluremi Tinubu, a senator and wife of President Bola Tinubu; Itse Sagay, a Professor of Law; Grace Giwa and Patricia Otuedon-Arawore, who also serves as the Executive Secretary.
